He's been a resident for a while. When he was released, he made his way back somehow and stayed outside the front of the main clinic... talking to everyone and begging.
There have been 14 released Kestrels this year, but there are always the ones who "know why the caged bird sings." So that leaves us with Kip and Abby (the abnormal Kestrel).
Also, I'm spoiling Socrates because our last educational Barn Owl (Bub) is ready to retire. He's got his own sweet suite. Hence the 'imprintation' of Socrates. (In case you were wondering)
